pencil

A hand drawing a hand, drawing a hand, drawing a hand... The word “inception” refers to the creation or starting point of something. All art has to start somewhere, and this drawing depicts my hands when they first put the pencil to the page. The many hands also represent how I have so many ideas, and want to work on all of them at once. In addition to these meanings, the piece is a representation of creativity in general, and how the conception of one drawing idea immediately leads to the next, lending a “hand” to a new project’s beginning.
